چکیده
THE METABOLOMIC profiling of Trigonella foenum-graecum and hamosa seeds was performed using NMR spectroscopy combined with multivariate data analysis (MVDA). The database the chemical shifts J-resolved two-dimensional technique were used to identify metabolites. Additionally, identified metabolites confirmed by comparison previously compounds as well. Among elucidated metabolites, choline, sterols, leucine, valine, flavonoids derivatives trigonelline found contribute distinguish between two species in score scatter loading plots analysis. Phytochemical plant extracts for total carbohydrates, proteins, phenolics, flavonoids, saponins anthocyanins spectrophotometer. antioxidant potential both evaluated phosphomolybdenum method DPPH radical scavenging activity. T. characterized higher concentrations trigonelline, protein, derivatives, anthocyanins, lower IC50 activity assay than hamosa. It observed that capacity positively correlated glucose, anthocyanins. revealed an interesting metabolomic pattern assigns this a promising candidate

Screening the Antioxidant activity of Trigonella foenum graecum Seeds
This study was undertaken to examine the antioxidant activity of methanolic extract of seeds of Trigonella foenum-graecum seeds using DPPH free radical scavenging assay. The IC50 (The concentration of sample required to scavenge 50% of DPPH free radical) was calculated by plotting graph between % inhibition vs concentration. The Ascorbic acid was used as standard antioxidant in comparison to me...
متن کاملEvaluation of antifertility activity of Trigonella foenum graecum seeds
Petroleum ether, ethanol and water extracts of Trigonella foenum graecum seeds were investigated separately to determine their antiimplantation (antifertility) and estrogenic/antiestrogenic activity in female albino rats and Swiss mice. Among these, ethanol extract was found to be the most effective as antiimplantation and estrogenic agent. In preliminary phytochemical screening, ethanol extrac...

Developing countries, where malaria is one of the most prevalent diseases, still rely on traditional medicine as a source for the treatment of this disease. For the present study, Trigonella foenum-graecum L. (fenugreek) were collected from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India. The test plant has been used in India by traditional healers for the treatment of fever as well as other diseases. The active ...

Thiosemicarbazides have found to contain antimicrobial, antiviral activities against various virus, bacteria and fungi strains. The objective of the study was to study the seed germination and physiological maturity stage of Trigonella foenum graecum and Brassica (L.). The effect of various concentrations of 1γ picolinoyl-4-phenyl Thiosemicarbazides on mitotic Indices in root tip cell in Trigon...
متن کاملIn vitro studies on antiradical and antioxidant activities of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum) seeds
An extract of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum) seeds was isolated and evaluated for antioxidant activity using various in vitro assay systems. The seed extract exhibited scavenging of hydroxyl radicals ( OH) and inhibition of hydrogen peroxide-induced lipid peroxidation in rat liver mitochondria. The OH scavenging activity of the extract was evaluated by pulse radiolysis and the deoxyribos...
